Biology 101 is a modular bioscience education program for students in grades 6-12. This unique collection of courses covers the same topics as a traditional school biology program, but taught hands-on by professional scientists using an exciting real-world curriculum.
Starting with the fundamental principles of life, Biology 101 builds gradually from basic to advanced topics through a pipeline of independent modules. Students can select from a catalogue of courses to meet to their unique needs and interests, following completion of the requisite units.
Each module is comprised of five, two-hour classes, taught using real-life research models in a state-of-the-art biotech research facility. Participants learn core concepts and essential lab skills during engaging lessons that involve lecture-discussions, multi-media presentations, hands-on classes and independent experimentation.
Biology 101 is designed to support a range of levels from first-time bioscience learners to advanced placement students. Our novel real-world approach offers specialized training that can’t be gained in school, to prepare students for higher education and future research internships.
