High School Programs
Originally developed in 2009 at USC, our high school programs prepare students for AP Biology, college education, science fair research and work-place internships.
Pathways to Stem Cell Science offers a variety of hands-on courses for high school students in grades 9-12. Our programs are developed from authentic research projects, which we adapt into engaging curriculum that follows a professional training format. Participants can select from a catalog of courses to suit their time, interests and aptitudes.
Each course provides:
– Hands-on classes with modern research models (i.e., stem cells, primary mammalian cells, cancer cell lines and mouse models.)
– Advanced college-level lectures and science discussions.
– Essential and broadly applicable real-world lab skills that cannot be learned in school or college.
– Rigorous preparation for AP biology, science fair research, college lab classes and workplace internships.
– Exposure to biotechnology and real-world science.
– Mentorship from professional industry scientists who are exceptional teachers.
